The Artist

I graduated at Trent Polytechnic, Nottingham, in textile design in 1974 and subsequently went on to complete a postgraduate year at Trent specialising in embroidery.

After graduating I worked for a year as an embroidery designer in Nottingham Lace Market. However, I felt that I needed to express my own ideas and I began to work freelance.

This has enabled me to devote myself to my passion, threadpainting.

I began to experiment with machine embroidery during my postgraduate studies and was excited to produce work with the quality of oil paintings.

My work is sold widely through exhibitions, galleries and commissions, in the form of original embroideries.
